The Washington County Public Schools Parent Resource Center is hosting its very first event—Kickoff to Connection!

This resource fair is designed to support and empower families of students with disabilities. You’ll have the chance to meet community partners, each hosting a table with valuable information, resources, and support for your family.

Wallace Middle School grade level supply list for the 25-26 school year.


Wallace Middle School's "6th-grade Step-Up Day" is an opportunity for 6th-grade students to participate in several activities that help familiarize them with Wallace Middle School. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday, July 17. This is a student-only event. Students should be dropped off and picked up on the back side of the building, next to the gymnasium. A snack will be provided. Please complete the Google Form to let us know if your student will be attending this event.

WMS Boy's Basketball attended a team camp at ETSU this week.


We are excited to announce the appointment of Ms. Camille McKenzie as the new head coach of the Wallace Middle School Volleyball team!
Coach McKenzie brings a wealth of experience, a passion for the game, and a strong commitment to student-athlete development. Coach McKenzie graduated from James Madison University in 2024 and is currently an English teacher at WMS. With a background in competitive play and coaching, she is dedicated to building a program centered on teamwork, discipline, and excellence.

Summer Reading Challenge

Audience: Superintendents, Directors, School Principals, Teachers, Parents
Second Lady Usha Vance has invited K-8 students to participate in the Second Lady’s 2025 Summer Reading Challenge. Joining is easy: Read 12 books of your choice between June 1 and September 5 and track your progress on the official reading log. Students who complete the challenge with parent/guardian input can earn a personalized certificate and a small prize. All finalists will also be entered into a drawing for the chance to win a visit to the Nation’s Capital with a chaperone. You can learn more at wh.gov/read.

WMS will host its 6th-grade step-up day on Thursday, July 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This event is for rising WMS 6th-grade students only! A midday snack will be provided. Parents must call the main office at 276-642-5400 to RSVP.
